Yosemite Curry Village and Hantavirus

Earlier this season, a Mammoth park employee was airlifted to Reno (Diablo 3 Gold). Got hantavirus from cleaning out a cabin. Two cases have been recorded in earlier at Tuolumne -- people stayed in tent cabins.

Then two cases (1 death) show up in mid-August in people who used Camp Curry separate tent cabins in mid-June. Now two weeks later, another two cases (1 death) both connected to Camp Curry.

Another Yosemite spokesperson: "It has nothing to do with the cleanliness of the cabins."

Another spokesperson: "There’s a strong correlation and public health is saying that more than likely it came from here, but you can’t be completely sure."

My background is in public relations and public health. And I'm calling totally incompetent crisis management.

Hantavirus is almost universally associated with mouse infestations in enclosed spaces. Someone tries to sweep up the droppings, sends the dust and virus into the air, and inhales it.

Of course, the problem is associated with cleanliness at the cabins (Diablo 3 Gold). All cases are among people who stayed at the cabins.

I got so ticked off that I emailed them and begged them to "man up". They are digging themselves into a massive legal hole of denial.

Mt instructions to them were to:

1. publicly convey their compassion regarding the sick and deceased and their families.

2. make it clear that cleaning the tent cabins is the responsibility of the concessionaire.

3. publicly threaten the concessionaire (throw them under the bus)

4. their incompetent crisis management is turning them into a co-defendant --- and a losing one, all on my tax money.

I'll go further and say that they should immediately close all tent-cabins, and start refunding money. This is when smart management does the "man up" thing.

A couple of points of reality. Any grunt employee given the assignment of cleaning those tents ought to quit. This is properly a situation for those with hazmat suits and proper training.

FYI: recommended clean-up entail spray bottle with a bleach solution (Diablo 3 Gold), wet towels, and a high quality dust respirator.
